Eileen Shea Joransen brings over 20 years of residential design experience to every home she creates. An Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) with a BFA from Syracuse University, Eileen honed her craft at a DC design firm before establishing her own practice 15 years ago. She loves working directly with clients to transform houses into homes that reflect how they truly live.
For the past decade, she has partnered with J. Sparrow Homes, guiding every interior selection, tile, countertops, cabinetry, fixtures, and color palettes- so that each home feels timeless, cohesive, and thoughtfully composed. Eileen is known for her mastery of proportion and color: rooms that flow naturally from one to the next and function beautifully for the way people actually live. The result is a home that simply feels right.
Eileen and her husband, Tim, have lived in Alexandria for more than 30 years, where they raised their two sons. She never tires of the city’s neighborhoods, with their unique blend of architectural styles and historic periods.
